‘HOTPOT East Asia Dance Platform’ China III

Shattering Shakespearean romantic myths: a visceral deconstruction of contemporary intimacy

‘HOTPOT’ China III concludes with an intense 50-minute non-stop physical dialogue. Hong Kong choreographic duo Terry Tsang & Bobo Lai boldly dismantle the romantic ideals of Romeo and Juliet. Interweaving intimate, raw monologues with explosive physical encounters, they lead the dancers to lay bare the imbalances, frictions, and emotional tug-of-war inherent in modern relationships—searching for equilibrium in the taut space between love and estrangement.
