‘HOTPOT East Asia Dance Platform’ Korea

Where folkloric ritual collides with psychedelic electronic beats: the explosive velocity of Korean contemporary dance
‘HOTPOT’ Korea gathers four distinguished choreographic voices. Moving across ancestral roots, social enquiry, and futuristic visions – from reinterpreting traditional masks and shamanic ritualism, to confronting collective guilt, and venturing into ecstatic bodily experiments fuelled by psychedelic electronic music. With distinct aesthetic signatures, these four works showcase the profound depth and avant-garde momentum of Korea’s contemporary dance scene.
