Regardless of our social status, all of us face different hidden dilemmas in the current age and society. Sometimes, they are mentioned; at other times, they are ignored. A single individual may have limited power to make a paradigm shift, but with the will to change, you can spark a revolution.As the Director and Visual Designer of this work, Cici Chen portrays the inner and outer conflicts of one’s survival by combining the dancers’ movements and projections, while drawing on inspirations from her previous work experience. It provokes us to think about our day-to-day life in realistic terms and listen to those hidden ‘voices’.
Cici CHEN
Cici Chen is a dance artist and director. Her works focus on the hidden and unseen messages of life, and she is interested in exploring the overlapping relationship between the screen and the body. She is currently the Director of SEED studio and joined Beijing Junran Art, where she developed contemporary theater and dance creation practices. Chen graduated from Salzburg Experimental Dance Academy, Austria (SEAD) with a master’s degree, and her representative works include Little One, The Cove.
