Intangible ‘smoke’ can represent our anxiety about the future, or an unverified piece of news. Filled with illusions, emotions, and imagination, it challenges us to deconstruct our real-life goals. Wearing what appears like gas masks and chasing and restraining one another on stage, the dancers conjure a mystical atmosphere with vibrant and dynamic movements. Choreographer Ikumi Kurosu, well-known for his passionate pursuit of unique and unconventional bodily concepts and movements, will be delighting the audience at the ‘CCDF 2023’ with his work debuted at the ‘Yokohama Dance Collection’ in 2020.
