The first DanceX in Hong Kong
The festival will introduce the latest contemporary dance scenes of Asia through a series of appreciation tours, talks and panel discussion activities for the overseas participants. It is also an exclusive platform for exchanging experiences, networking, exploring artistic perspectives and collaborations with internationally renowned arts festival curators, organisers, critics and artists.
In CCDF 2017, one of the most significant parts is the “HOTPOT East Asia Dance Platform“. Originated from “ICE HOT Nordic Dance Platform”, the “HOTPOT East Asia Dance Platform” is the extension of dance development and cultural exchange experience with European countries in the past. With reference to the collaboration network formed by CCDC (Hong Kong), SIDance (Korea) and Yokohama Dance Collection (Japan) in 2016, first HOTPOT East Asia Dance Platform with exciting performances by up-and-coming choreographers will take place in Hong Kong during the festival period.
