Dust Dances in Infinite Light<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For eternity, endless specks of dust have churned with the wheels of nature. Gathering and dispersing, they witness the passage of time while traversing history. Both billowy and static, they reflect the polar extremes within each of us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This production marks the latest creation of CCDC Resident Choreographer Sang Jijia following his award-winning work Meeting In-between Time<\/em>. Featuring a troupe of over 40 dancers from the company as well as graduating students of School of Dance, HKAPA, the performance invites audiences to witness the motion of dust within a captivating stage and spectating space, as it floats and puts down roots while dancing with the light, rising and falling with the world around it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sang Jijia<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sang Jijia is the Resident Choreographer of CCDC. He is the recipient of multiple international dance awards and the Asian Cultural Council Fellowship. In 2002, he studied choreography with William Forsythe in Germany under the Rolex Mentor and Prot\u00e9g\u00e9 Arts Initiative. He also danced with the Forsythe Company and acted as Assistant Choreographer with the Ballet Frankfurt. Sang has created work for CCDC, BeijingDance\/LDTX, Guangdong Modern Dance Company, and more. His recent choreographies include: Pa | Ethos <\/em>(2015), Fragile Beauty<\/em> (2016), Mr Blank <\/em>(2018), Re-Mark <\/em>(2019) and Meeting In-between Time<\/em> (2022).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
