\u2018IT\u2019S NOT MY BODY\u2019 series began in 2014. With his unique dance sensibility and experimentation with the body, choreographer Tanki Wong recreates the purpose of dance through a duel of flesh and shadows. Coming to chapter 3.5 this time, the series continues its study of the human body and exploration of the motive of dance, inviting the audience to witness the dancers’ choice: to dance or not to dance; to trap or not to trap oneself; and to be or not to be?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tanki Wong<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tanki Wong is a freelance dancer, teacher, choreographer, multimedia designer, and one of the founders of NEO Dance HK. His creation Division<\/em> was awarded the 1st<\/sup> prize at the 7th<\/sup> Jerusalem International Choreography Competition. Galatea and Pygmalion<\/em> and Galatea X<\/em> received the Hong Kong Dance Awards for \u2018Outstanding Achievement in Independent Dance\u2019 and \u2018Outstanding Achievement in Choreography\u2019 in 2011 and 2014 respectively. Wong received the \u2018Award for Young Artist\u2019 at the Hong Kong Arts Development Awards in 2014. His video work Come Rain Or Shine<\/em> got the \u2018Outstanding Cinematography\u2019 and \u2018Outstanding Film\u2019 at ‘Manifest Dance-film Festival 2022’.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
